henna++

It is Wednesday afternoon, nothing much to do. My fabulous Macbook is left at home so that I've got no chance to edit my photos from horse riding trip last weekend. Lunch break was too short, otherwise I'd like to sneak to my secret lane on Fuzhou Rd. for old cheap magazines. If I'm lucky enough, I might find Face, or I-D at the cost of 30 RMB, by the way, hasn't Face Mag been shut down already? No matter what, it's secured that any time I go, there's always vintage National Geographic. I have a 1985 issue and a 1990 issue, featuring Afghanistan henna painting and India national railway system respectively, which was super super cool. Most amazingly to me, it IS possible that with efforts, ideas can be developed maximum to a solid status, to been seen and felt. Then my speculation is, where is the powder laid of certain transformation? How do we identify our needs and develop items to fulfill our needs? What can be stripped down to bare from these above Henna drawings and be used as elements on something else? Hmm...the possibilities...

  2. i dont really understand the last bit but hmm i think if you want to take a henna painting for some sort of magazine you'd have to overlay it in black on top of some other picture with lots of colour to make it look cool.
    theres 2 types of designs; arabic and indian. i always thought i would like to do one of riffats designs on my back as a tattoo if there was some sort of semi permenant tattoo which would last for only a couple of months. http://www.riffat.co.uk/hennagallery2.html
