
It's our company culture to bring small gifts from a trip. So after the Spring Festival I received many small gifts from people who've gone home for the New Year. They were mostly food from their provinces, as "shan zhai" as they can be yet fairly interesting! Look wild, taste wild. When chewing them, I can almost imagine a wild life in the west (west China) where nice old men collect dry wood sticks to make fire for the stove!
Hmm...while letting your imagination fly, let me introduce the shan zhai delicacy of the day: floury pastry stick & sun dry persimmon.
