Weij realizes no words are proper for this topic. Yet this is what Weij wants to talk about in her first semi-serious fashion post, which also is the 1st of the 7-in-line-fashion posts of the week. Here Weij calls it Weij's fashion week, hoping this unfruitful indulgement will fight against the gloomy weather and win Weij a sunny mood.
So at this moment, Weij is typing in "garters and nylons" with a little blush. Weij realizes it's a little unproper to expose this unspoken personal likeness, however, Weij likes to challenge herself and believe secrets also invigorate others - I bet you are giggling your teeth out peeping at how Weij have been. So here we go, let's talk about the notorious lingerie and stockings.
A little bit education - bear with me as I'm such a lecturer! In the old times, a few decades ago actually, stockings were called "nylons" because of the ultimate use of Dupont Nylon which changed the whole era of stocking wearing phenomenon. Nylon stockings fit unbelievably well than traditional cotton ones and with the evolution of stockings, garters were fading out of the stocking wear history. However, as Weij says vintage will always shine, garters will have its spring!
